About The Site

Viewing and Printing

This site is best viewed used Mozilla/Firefox or Opera. Javascript should be enabled so the navigation bars will reflect your activity. SLS does not use cookies.

Mozilla/Firefox:

To print pages with full-sized text and worksheets, turn on Print Preview and go to Page Setup. Then under the Format & Options tab, deselect Shrink to fit page width, and under the Margins & Header/Footer tab, change the page margins to 0.25 (inches).

To print pages that include the sidebar, turn on Print Preview and go to Page Setup, then select Shrink to fit page width.

These settings will stay until you change them.

Opera:

To print pages with full-sized text and worksheets, go to Print Options and deselect Fit to paper width, then in the section below, change Page Margins to 0.65 (centimeters).

To print pages which include the sidebar, go to Print Options and select Fit to paper width.

These settings will stay until you change them.

Internet Explorer:

Internet Explorer 6

To keep the text from getting chopped off, go to File | Page Setup and set the page margins to 0.25 (inches).

You cannot print pages that include the sidebar in IE6.

These margin settings will stay until you change them.

Internet Explorer 7 and higher

IE7 and IE8 automatically shrink pages to fit the paper unless you specify otherwise. To print pages without the sidebar, so the text will be larger, use the down arrow next to go to File | Print Preview. From there, you can then adjust the size of the page you're about to print. To adjust the margins for that page, click the button which looks like a gear.

To permanently change the margins, go to File | Page Setup. Most printers require margins to be at least 0.25 inches.

Page Style

If you're viewing pages with No Style (Mozilla/Firefox or Internet Explorer 8 and higher) or in User Mode (Opera), or have customized your browser's standard fonts or sizes, the page display will, of course, look entirely different. If you select the text you want to print, and go to the Print menu, your browser may let you choose Selection under Page Range.
